What is Instructors Level?

Instructors Level is for those people that want to become accredited instructors of the modular system as operated by the OSA.

Open to all individuals who wish to be recognised as instructors themselves and not be tied to their old Club or Association.

This is open to students at the OSA and external martial arts organisations that are interested in adopting the modular approach. This course ensures that a certain standard is adopted when teaching any syllabus in modules.

All of the instructors at the OSA hold the Internal Instructors certificate (see here for our instructors contact details). Having a Black Sash/Belt is not a mandatory requirement in order to obtain this certificate. This means that the instructor will be able to teach people at a lower level than themselves, but students can still have the confidence that the instructor is trained to the correct level in terms of being able to teach others, even if the instructor is not yet a black sash.

Why not allow the OSA produce your own teaching DVD. A very useful teaching tool for students making it easier for instructors too! Contact us for details.

What to Bring with You:

• Writing material such as pens/paper, etc.
• Copy of current CV with evidence of martial arts grading and generic qualifications
• Bank details
• Suitable overnight clothing, etc.
• For those wishing to undertake filming of their own Style/Discipline, it is advised that the instructors must provide their own equipment such as uniform, relevant weapons and safety equipment
• Club Logo and training syllabus of chosen Style/Discipline
