STAGE 2
Once Registered with the OSA /WorldMAC Alliance, you will have your unique Registration Number. (Please see below).
You then need to validate your martial/fighting arts qualifications by contacting us.
To do this you may want to enrol onto one of our many Foundation Courses. These may be in your own area.
This page will give details of how to validate your martial arts knowledge and experience.
Why validate your martial arts?
To be recognised outside martial
arts is quite unique. Having your martial arts knowledge and
skills accepted
by generic governing bodies such as universities is a great asset to any
profession body.
How do you validate your martial arts? To validate simply means to authenticate. To confirm your knowledge and skills in corroboration with generic governing bodies will certify and authorise your martial arts qualifications taking it to a higher professional level. Identifying your skills formerly will only endorse your art.
What if I do not have any formal martial arts qualifications?
Any evidence that you may have may
be used to validate. Simply contact us so that we may guide you. Martial
arts, by tradition, are very diverse and validation is a simple process to
becoming recognised.
Why do I need to validate?
With an
increased litigation society, it is a requirement to have your teaching and
learning programmes evidence-based. This is to protect both students and
instructors through ‘informed consent’.
Will it affect my current martial arts status within my current governing body? Many martial artists, by tradition, are influenced by their governing bodies. Validation will only influence instructors to improve their teachings and students to question poor practice and has no bearing on current governing body membership. Shaping concerns by involving both students and instructors to change can only have a positive effect on higher standards. Validation is FREE but the benefits are boundless.
As a martial artist, you simply
have nothing to lose but everything to gain.
To have your current martial arts qualifications recognised at university standard, you must first be registered with the WorldMACAlliance.
To be included on any of the OSA courses, you first must register as an INDIVIDUAL for FREE with the World MAC Alliance.
